Science Class Project

In my science class, we are doing a project with heat shields. We are instructed to make a heat shield to withstand multiple tests and a 2000 degree blowtorch. We are given a small amount of materials such as steel wool, tin foil, metal lathe, cotton balls all made for us to understand what is a conductor, insulator and what can reflect, spread and stop the heat from getting to an egg at the other side of our heat shield. Unfortunately, while I was absent my group’s egg did not break but did cook 4 millimeters.Credits for photo: Me

A Perfect World

Recently, I made a project for my D period Language Arts class called “A perfect world”. The point of this project was to make a world where everything was perfect. You could design your own political system or choose what foods they eat. The possibilities are endless. Part of the reason that our class did this project is because we are currently reading a book called “The Last Cuentista” which is a about a girl who goes to a new planet with a few select people since earth is coming to an end. The ship she is on is controlled by an organization that brainwashes people and forces them to have the organizations beliefs and the girl needs to save her family and humanity.

Upcoming UFC Fight

On February 11th, there will be a UFC fight (Mixed Martial Arts) between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski in the lightweight division. I am very exited for this fight since Islam Makhachev is the best friend of my favorite fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov and since he retired, I mostly only watch Islam Makhachev fight. I also love to fight MMA and watch it.

Ted Budd vs Cheri Beasly

Recently, Ted Budd won over Cheri Beasley, representing North Carolina in the Senate. My thoughts on Ted Budd and Cheri Beasley are mixed. I think that Ted Budd is very far right but on the other hand, I think that Beasly is the exact opposite, being far left. So even if Beasley were to become the North Carolina Senator, I would not approve.

Camp Hanes

Camp Hanes was a site/camp that my school went to for 1 night. Although it was only for one night, I really enjoyed it because of all the fun activities and good food.

Halloween

For Halloween, I am a plague doctor. A doctor that would “treat” patients with the “Black Death” or the bubonic plague.

The history of Halloween started back when the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain existed. it was believed that on that day, the souls of the dead would return to their home. So people dressed in costumes to try to ward off spirits.

In my home, Halloween is pretty typical. I go trick or treating at one of my friend’s neighborhoods and sometimes we have a Halloween party with my friend’s and my sister’s friend’s. My favorite candy while trick or treating would have to be nerds.

BackPack Project

The backpack project was an activity based off the events in the book “Finding Someplace.” The book follows a girl called Reese through Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath. Once you know the premise of the book, now it’s time to answer what a backpack has to do with it. In the book, there is a moment where Reese knows the hurricane in approaching so she needs to gather her belongings but cannot take everything. Our activity was that we had to make a backpack and list the items that we would’ve took. This is mine:

Padres in the Postseason

The Padres made it to the postseason! They have made it 7 times in 53 seasons so to me, it’s a very big deal. Although the Padres lost Fernando Tatis Jr, they are still doing well with Juan Soto and Manny Machado. The padres just acquired Juan Soto from the Washington Nationals. The Padres beat the LA DODGERS which is amazing since the Dodgers are probably the best team in baseball.
